Formal hunt appointments are: black silk top hat at least 4" high with elastic edged black veil; light hunting whip with thong; ladies' hunt canteen (sandwich case/flask combination) filled; and white or colored rain gloves tucked under off-side saddle billets with forward and just showing in front of flap.

The required tack includes: plain English sidesaddle without pad; triple fold leather girth without elastic; flat leather double (preferred) or pelham bridle with stitched in bits preferred; and flat leather breast plate, optional.

Formal Hunting Attire and Appointments are required and count 25% only in the AHSA Ladies Hunter Under Saddle class.
